On April 22, 2026 at 15:00 an Open studio visit will take place at the Linstow Art Award art studio in the SPORTA 2 quarter, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the studio space and the creative environment.
During the event, visitors will be able to tour the studio and meet the 2025 Linstow Art Award laureates, as well as learn more about their creative process and experience.
As part of the award, studio spaces are granted to three Linstow Art Award laureates for one year, providing essential support at the early stage of their careers and allowing them to fully focus on their artistic development after graduation.
This year, three Linstow Art Award laureates will receive:
- A monetary award of € 3,000
- One year of access to an art studio (25 m²) at the SPORTA 2 quarter in Riga
- The opportunity to exhibit artwork
The Open studio visit offers an opportunity to gain insight into artists’ daily practice, discover the process of contemporary art-making, and experience the creative atmosphere of the SPORTA 2 quarter.
The professional art prize Linstow Art Award is taking place for the second year. Applications are open until May 13, 2026 for master’s graduates of the Art Academy of Latvia (LMA) from master’s graduates (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026) from the Visual Arts, Visual Plastic Arts, Audiovisual Media Arts, and Design programs (including 2026 graduates who are currently in the process of completing their studies).
