BIO

Inga Lāce's research specialises in modern and contemporary art across Soviet and Post-Soviet Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia as well as its diaspora, with a particular focus on migration and transnational connections. Since 2023 she is Chief Curator at the Almaty Museum of Arts. Recently, Lāce was C-MAP Central and Eastern Europe Fellow at MoMA, New York (2020-2023) and Curator at the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art (2012-2020). She has an extensive history of curating internationally, with previous projects including the Latvian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2019); Survival Kit (2017-23); Portable Landscapes at Villa Vassilieff, the Latvian National Art Museum and James Gallery at CUNY (2018); Riga Notebook at Muzeum Sztuki (2020); It Won’t Be Long Now, Comrades! at Framer Framed (2017); Performing the Fringe at Konsthall C (2020) and Pori Art Museum (2021).

Joanna Nordin is a curator and the Artistic Director of Bonniers Konsthall, a private non-profit gallery, and a leading institution for contemporary art in Sweden. As a curator Nordin is especially interested in site specificity and the intersection between historiography and contemporary art, investigating the ways history collects. Programming and exhibitions include working with artists such as Valeria Montti-Colque in production for the Venice biennial, Frida Orupabo, Conny Karlsson Lundgren, and Ingela Ihrman. Previously Nordin worked as Museum Director at the Carl Eldh studio Museum, unfolding the setting of the early 20th century museum and collection through experimental exhibitions and events. As curator of learning at Index the Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation in Stockholm, Nordin was part of founding the pivotal youth programme ITAB – Index Teen Advisory Board.

BIO

Susanne Østby Sæther, PhD, is researcher and Senior Curator of Photography and New Media at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in Norway. She is a former Director of Fotogalleriet in Oslo and has been a curator at Preus Museum. Sæther serves as the chief curator of New Visions: The Henie Onstad Triennial for Photography and New Media (2020, 2023 editions) and has curated numerous group and solo exhibitions of contemporary and camera-based art at Henie Onstad and beyond. Her research and writing focus on the intersection of art, media technologies, and ecologies, with recent publications including New Visions (Mousse Publishing, 2023) and Screen Space Reconfigured (2020). The co-edited volume, Media Seas: Perspectives from the High North Atlantic is forthcoming from Routledge. Sæther has held postdoctoral fellowships at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the University of Oslo and regularly contributes to artist books and exhibition catalogues. Her projects often emerge from transdisciplinary collaborations, engaging artists, scholars, and academic institutions.

Vita is a lawyer, patron of the arts and art collector. She is the founder of VV Foundation, a charitable foundation supporting emerging artists, and Pavilosta Artists Residency. Since 2022, Vita has been a member of Tate’s Central and Eastern Europe Plus Acquisitions Committee, and in 2024 she cofounded Delfina Foundation’s Network of Central and Eastern Europe Patrons.

BIO

Dina Suhanova is an architect and a researcher at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Design and Architecture of the Art Academy of Latvia. She holds a diploma in Architecture and a Master of Arts degree in History and Theory of Art and Culture. Following a period of several years in architectural practice, she redirected her professional focus toward research, projects, and a variety of activities related to contemporary architecture, culture, and education. She has held positions such as architecture program director, tutor, and project manager at RISEBA University of Applied Sciences. Since 2018, Dina has been the curator of the design-build summer school FestivaL'and, which is organized in Valmiera, Latvia. She has been editor of numerous academic publications, frequently contributes to local and international journals, and participates in conferences. In 2024, she was honored with the Best Guest Editor of 2023 Award for her contribution to the publication of the issue no. 164 of the journal "Latvijas Architektūra." Her expertise is frequently solicited, leading to invitations as a field expert to moderate panels and participate in national juries.

Her strong social engagement is evident in many of her projects – Paulina is the founder and a Board Director of Wilstar, a non-profit, social impact venture based in Oslo, Norway, and a founding member of The Grove Trust, London, UK, aiming to assist those in need by supporting local charities. She has been supporting several art Institutions through the years. Currently, she has a partnership award program with Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in Norway, and  has been supporting Tate as a member of the International Council, and at present, as a member of Latin American Acquisitions Committee of the Tate Americas Foundation. She studied contemporary art at Christie’s and served on the board of the Royal Caribbean Arts Grant for five years. In addition to her extensive business experience, she has deep expertise in TV production, having worked for the Norwegian national broadcaster, where she produced live entertainment and several cultural TV series. Paulina has also co-produced several films.
