About LinstowArt Award

Each year three Linstow Art Award awardees will receive:

  • A monetary award of € 3000 (net)
  • One year of access to an art studio at the SPORTA 2 quarter in Riga
  • The opportunity to exhibit artworks

The Linstow Art Award is an annual professional art award granted to three young artists who have graduated from the Master’s Program at the Art Academy of Latvia.

The mission of the Linstow Art Award is to give long-term support to young Latvian artists, ensuring a stronger art community and a lasting presence of art in the city.

Established in 2025, the award represents a meaningful partnership between Linstow Baltic – one of the leading real estate developers in the Baltics – and the Art Academy of Latvia, aimed at providing a modern platform for emerging Latvian artists to launch and develop their professional careers.

Founder of Linstow Art Award

Paulina Rider Wilhelmsen

Paulina Rider Wilhelmsen is the founder of Linstow Art Award and The Lise Wilhelmsen Art Award Program. Her strong social engagement is evident in many of her projects – Paulina is the founder and a Board Director of Wilstar, a non-profit, social impact venture based in Oslo, Norway, and a founding member of The Grove Trust, London, UK, aiming to assist those in need by supporting local charities.

She has been supporting several art Institutions through the years. Currently, she has a partnership award program with Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in Norway, and  has been supporting Tate as a member of the International Council, and at present, as a member of Latin American Acquisitions Committee of the Tate Americas Foundation. She studied contemporary art at Christie’s and served on the board of the Royal Caribbean Arts Grant for five years.

In addition to her extensive business experience, she has deep expertise in TV production, having worked for the Norwegian national broadcaster, where she produced live entertainment and several cultural TV series. Paulina has also co-produced several films.
